This policy explains how Jason Lawn Mowing Services handles personal information collected through this website.
Your enquiries
When you send our quote form, we collect your name, phone number, email address and suburb, the service you're asking about, and your message. We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, and to quote for and arrange any work you ask us to do.
The form sends your details to us by email. The website itself doesn't keep a copy of your enquiry.
To protect the form from misuse, the website keeps a short-term count of recent form submissions from each internet connection. It stores a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of the connection's IP address, not the address itself, and deletes it within 24 hours.
Our contact page sets one cookie, named jlms_sid, which is used only to check that the quote form was sent from this website. It is deleted when you close your browser.
Like most websites, our web server records basic technical details of each request, such as the IP address, the page requested and the browser, in its logs. We use these logs only to keep the website secure and working.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't give it to anyone else to use for their own purposes.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, services provided by Google, to understand how people find and use this website. They tell us things like which pages are visited, how long visits last, what kind of device and browser are used, the general area (city or region) visitors are in, and whether someone taps our phone number or sends our quote form. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (small files stored by your browser, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to recognise repeat visits. Google uses your IP address to work out your general location; it doesn't give us your IP address.
We don't use Google's advertising features on this website: it is set up with no advertising cookies, no Google signals, no remarketing and no personalised advertising. We don't send the details you type into our quote form to Google, and we have turned off the Google features that would collect them. We only see summary reports. We don't use analytics to identify you or to show you ads, and we don't sell it.
Google may store and process this information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the period set in our account, no longer than 14 months; summary reports may be kept longer. You can read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
You don't have to accept analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website works fully without them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us for the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or make a privacy complaint. Call us on 0405 437 224 or use the form on our contact page.
